Allsorts Audio is the trading name of
Dave Liquorice MIPS, a freelance Broadcast Sound Engineer with
over 40 years of experience in the industry and a full member of the
Institute of Professional Sound.
Dave aims to provide 1st Class support to a Sound Supervisor or Recordist
leaving them free to concentrate on the production. With this in mind keeping
two steps ahead of the production team is another goal, so they are never
kept "waiting for sound".
Based in Alston, high on the North Pennines, Dave is less than an hour from
Newcastle or Carlisle and is conveniently located for dailies in Northern
England or Southern Scotland or further afield for longer bookings.
As well as being a very experienced Outside Broadcast Sound Engineer Dave
can also use a soldering iron. He offers a cable making service from simple
XLR microphone cables to cable adapters and converters. Another of Dave's
many skills is woodwork, he designed and constructed a
Boom Box to store fishpoles and accesories on set, it can also
function as an "apple box" or perhaps most importantly a seat.
